Couldn't agree more about the warm and fuzzy before outsourcing important stuff. This is no different than bringing any new vendor into the EDC - you'll want to test drive the product with a pilot project to build experience and confidence. 

Methinks most "important stuff" is already taken care of. What savvy CIOs will be looking at is how can they be more responsive using these new options. I expect the forward thinking will run some pilots this year. And they will keep very quiet about them, especially if the results are good.

I'd love to use these new services, but I'm caught between "stay secure at (almost) any cost" vs "lower costs and faster deployment by outsourcing".  Enterprise CIOs will need to feel very warm and fuzzy about the security of outsourcing important stuff before they adopt these services widely.</description>
