StorageMojo at NAB next week

Consumerization is a major driving force in 21st century IT. And consumers are media junkies, their desire for music, video, photos and more driving global network and media infrastructure investments.

The National Association of Broadcasters annual show in Las Vegas is the best exemplar of the new trends: all the new digital production technologies are here with many of the products consumers will be using to enjoy them. You can often see the total infrastructure from content capture through editing, compression and distribution all the way to the latest consumer devices.

Storage is a big piece of the puzzle. As storage and distribution costs plunge producers can digitize/monetize more of their analog content profitably. I expect to see many storage companies there.

The StorageMojo take
I’m arriving on Monday, leaving Wednesday, and have some meetings already scheduled. If you’re there let’s see if we can’t get together and catch up on latest.

Courteous comments welcome, of course. I’m definitely stopping by the Panasonic 3D theater!
