I am.

As of a couple of weeks ago I am working with Data Mobility Group as an analyst. DMG is a small analyst firm that advises clients on a variety of information management and storage topics. They are also very flexible about where one works, so being in a small town in the mountains of northern Arizona is not a problem.

In appreciation, I’ve placed their logo and link at the top of the right column.

So what’s changed?
Not a whole lot. As part of my agreement with DMG, StorageMojo remains mine, offering my personal opinions. I also am able to continue consulting on my own. For that purpose I’ve also formed an LLC, TechnoQWAN. I’ll continue to publish as often as possible, but as we’ve seen this week, I may not publish every weekday, as has been my practice. The feeling I’ve gotten from some folks is that I write too much to keep up with. Let me know what you think.

The StorageMojo take
Shouldn’t make much difference. If your company contracts with DMG it is now easier to avail yourself of my services, which I hope you’ll do. I may be attending more analyst briefings as well, which I plan to put to good use. I’ll continue to flag financial interests as before, whether they come through my personal work or DMG, so you can judge for yourself if I’m selling out. That’s about it.

Comments welcome, of course. Moderation turned on to keep spammers at bay. You’ll just have to find your Rolex knock-offs somewhere else.
